MIDI Input

MAINFRAME-B responds to the following MIDI inputs:

MIDI channel association

Each zone (or layer), which there are three total, is responds to the MIDI messages coming in on their assigned channel.

Note On & Off

Each generated pattern is associated to a note, Note On/Off determines the length & duration of its animations.

Note on initiates its pattern, note off terminates its. Depending on the animation mode selected, note length will yield different behaviours.

Note Pitch & Velocity

Note pitch & velocity can optionally be used for modulation.

MIDI CC

Each and every parameter can be adjusted remotely via MIDI CC, which allows for interesting automation & control possibilities.

MIDI CC Chart contains the CC-to-Paramater mappings.

Program Change

By sending the program change command changes the active preset for the associated zone(s). There are eight presets per zone, which correspond with program change values 0-7.
