Factors of Influence

The character of the lights is shaped by a few primary factors:

• Notes activate lights: Each note-on triggers an animation. Note length affects many animation modes.
• Parameter values: Hue, saturation, brightness, decay, position, speed, and animation mode shape the output.
• Modulation: Pitch, velocity, or random modulation changes parameter values dynamically.
• Zone blending: All zones render simultaneously, so layered MIDI channels create composite color and motion.
